Is Amazon DSP right for you?
Direct answer: DSP is Amazon’s programmatic buyer (CPM) for display, online video, audio, and Streaming TV across Amazon properties and third-party supply. Sponsored Display is the cheaper CPC remarketing layer. If you cannot hold Page 1 on money keywords, fix Sponsored Products first. Self-serve retargeting is the honest start; Amazon’s managed-service typical floor is about $50,000 USD.
Order of operations
- Sponsored Products converting on money keywords.
- Sponsored Display remarketing if the audience is on-Amazon and CPC still makes sense.
- DSP remarketing flight, frequency-capped, reported on DPV and NTB next to Sponsored — not last-click ROAS.
- Streaming TV only after display DPV and creative pass.
- AMC queries for overlap once DSP is actually spending.
