Jungle Scout Cobalt on this Amazon desk

Cobalt scales the rules. It does not get to hide the change log.

Also searched as Cobalt, JS Cobalt

Cobalt is Jungle Scout’s enterprise product. It is the seat people mean when they say “we need one view of Seller, Vendor, and Ads” or “the catalog is too wide to harvest by hand.” Ad Accelerator-style automations (ROI targets, keyword harvesting, dayparting, budget control) exist here. I turn them on only after campaigns are split — brand vs generic vs competitor — and after a contribution floor exists.

An unsupervised ACOS target on a blended campaign is how Cobalt (or any automation) spends the wrong dollar faster. Structure first. Rules second. The weekly log still names what the automation moved, in English.

If you only need Keyword Scout, you need Jungle Scout, not Cobalt. If you need DSP + AMC execution as one AI layer, that conversation is Xnurta. I will not sell you the enterprise SKU because the demo was impressive.

What it is for

Unify 3P / 1P / Ads reporting and run supervised automations (harvest, ROI targets, dayparting, budget control) on catalogs where manual bid-by-bid is the bottleneck — not the strategy.

What it is not

Not standard Jungle Scout research. Not a “set and forget” bid robot. Not a substitute for knowing which campaign is brand, generic, or competitor.

Source of truth: Amazon Ads Console and the contribution floor. Cobalt automations are allowed to execute only inside those rails.

What actually gets used

  • Unified Seller Central + Vendor Central + Amazon Ads readouts
  • Supervised harvest and ROI / RoAS automations after structure is clean
  • Dayparting and budget pacing when hour-of-day waste is real
  • Share and category context that Brand Analytics alone does not give a 1P catalog
  • Change log of automation moves — not a dashboard login as the “report”

How it shows up in the week

01

Fit

Wide catalog, 1P+3P, or a brand team that already pays for Cobalt. Small SP-only accounts stay in the Ads Console plus Helium 10 / JS.

02

Split

Brand, generic, competitor, and discovery get their own goals. One blended target is how automation burns money.

03

Supervise

Harvest and bid rules run inside guardrails. I review the action log. Kill anything that bids through the contribution floor.

04

Report

Founder note still comes from the operator. Cobalt is evidence, not the letter.

FAQ

Is Cobalt the same as Jungle Scout?

No. Jungle Scout is the research product. Cobalt is Jungle Scout’s enterprise intelligence and ads-automation platform, usually quoted, not a $49/mo add-on.

Will Cobalt run my PPC unattended?

No. Automations harvest and pace inside goals I set after the account is structured. Unsupervised “max ACOS” on a blended campaign is how you buy junk at scale.

Seller Central or Vendor Central?

Cobalt is one of the few seats that is honest about both. 1P share and 3P ads can live in the same readout — that is the point of the product.

Do I have to buy Cobalt to work with you?

No. Most accounts never need it. We use it when the catalog or the existing seat makes it the right layer.
