Teikametrics on this Amazon desk

Flywheel only works after you split the goals.

Also searched as Flywheel, Teikametrics ARI

Teikametrics Flywheel is profit-aware PPC automation. You set a goal — target ACOS, TACOS, new-to-brand share, or a margin number that includes COGS — and the engine moves bids and harvests toward it. That is the right frame. Most “AI PPC” tools optimize a vanity ROAS and call it strategy.

The failure mode is one blended goal on a blended account. Brand defense, generic exact, and discovery cannot share a TACOS target. I split the campaigns first, load real COGS (or a contribution floor from Sellerboard), then let Flywheel work inside those lanes. Inventory-aware throttling is useful: ads should slow before a stockout, not after.

If the catalog is small and already harvested by hand, Flywheel is optional. If the catalog is wide and the founder already pays for Teikametrics, we operate that seat instead of stacking a second robot.

What it is for

Run bid and harvest automation toward a named goal (break-even ACOS, TACOS, or a profit threshold) per campaign type — after brand / generic / competitor are no longer blended.

What it is not

Not a DSP-first platform. Not a reason to skip the harvest loop. Not Walmart-or-bust on this desk (Amazon is the work).

Source of truth: Contribution floor and Ads Console. Flywheel is allowed to chase a goal I named — not a default “industry ACOS.”

What actually gets used

  • Goal-based bids on Sponsored Products / Brands / Display after structure is clean
  • COGS / contribution inputs so “target ACOS” is not a forum number
  • Inventory-aware throttling on heroes that will stock out
  • Harvest toward exact — reviewed against the search-term report, not trusted blindly
  • Founder log still names what Flywheel moved and what I overrode

How it shows up in the week

01

Segment

Brand, generic, competitor, discovery — each gets a Flywheel goal. One catalog-wide TACOS goal is how the engine misunderstands defense.

02

Floor

Load contribution from FBA Fee Preview + COGS. Flywheel does not invent a margin.

03

Override

If the engine harvests junk or bids through a floor, I kill the rule the same week.

04

Scope

Amazon ads. This desk does not turn Teikametrics into a Walmart/TikTok overlay.

FAQ

Is Teikametrics the same as hiring an Amazon PPC manager?

No. Flywheel is software. This desk is the person who sets goals, splits campaigns, and overrides the engine. A login is not management.

Do you take Teikametrics’ percent-of-spend fee as your retainer?

No. Software fees are software fees. The desk is a flat month-to-month operator fee after the review — not a stacked percent of ad spend.

Can Flywheel run DSP?

Sponsored ads are the honest core. DSP stays the DSP workstream (and Xnurta/Cobalt when those seats exist). I will not stretch Flywheel into a full-funnel story it does not own.

Do I have to switch off my Teikametrics seat?

Usually no. If the seat is already paid, we operate it correctly instead of ripping it out for sport.

Tools are how the desk runs. The review is still your public listing — leaks, fit, week one. No software upsell on that pass.
