Full-service agencies list “inventory management” and mean a team that tickets FBA. This desk means: ads do not outrun cover, excess does not sit through peak storage unexamined, and IPI is a weekly number next to ACOS.
Q4 2026 has two clocks — peak storage from 1 October through December, peak fulfillment 15 October 2026–14 January 2027. Restock decisions and bid caps have to see both. I will not invent FBA rate cards; live fees live in Seller Central.
Stranded inventory is a catalog-plus-ops bug. It belongs here because it quietly taxes IPI while ads keep spending.
Who this is for
FBA sellers who want restock and IPI in the same weekly plan as bids — not a 3PL login and a hope.
Who it is not for
I do not purchase inventory, book freight, or run a warehouse. I pace the account so ads, inbound dates, and IPI stop fighting.

I map hero ASINs: days of cover, inbound in flight, stranded, IPI. Anything we would have scaled into a stockout gets a bid cap in week one.

Weeks of cover on heroes, stranded watch, IPI trend, and bid caps on anything that cannot hold stock through the next inbound. Peak storage and peak fulfillment dates sit on the same calendar.

Do you place FBA inbound shipments?
I tell you what has to land and by when. I do not book the freight or buy the units. That is your ops or 3PL.
What is IPI?
Inventory Performance Index. Below Amazon’s threshold they limit storage. It is a weekly desk number here, not a once-a-quarter panic.
Do you handle reimbursements for lost FBA inventory?
Inbound shipped-vs-received, FC lost/damaged, and related claim windows sit on the shipment-discrepancies workstream. IPI pacing does not file those cases — it stops ads from scaling into empty bins.
How does this change PPC?
If the hero cannot hold stock, we do not raise bids. Ranking into a stockout is how you donate the keyword to a rival.
